... now has removable wheels so it doesn't have to be detached from the carseat before installing it on a plane. How cool is that?!? (This may have been posted here before, but I was AWOL for awhile and missed some things...)

FYI, I heard this from a salesperson at BuyBuyBaby the other day. Has anyone actually removed the wheels? He said that enough folks complained about having to detach the Travelmate from the carseat that they made the wheels detachable. However, it still has to be detached for a vehicle, just not an airplane.

Oh gosh, we have two of them and I'd LOVE to have the ones with removable wheels. Wonder if they'd switch mine out?!?!

Man, me too. Although, the instructions state that you don't have to remove it to install it on the plane, but it would certainly make installing it in there tightly MUCH easier! Wonder if they'd switch mine out as well.....

Yeah, all I've read before about it was that you didn't have to remove anything for airplane installations, just for car installations.
