Also, does it look like he is even with the second to bottom slots now? He was below them when we got this seat in March. When would you move the straps up? The next ones up look too high right now.

I'm no tech, but a Regent owner, and it sure looks good to me! The recline bar looks like it's placed where as it is referenced in the manual. Good job mama! I think the straps are very much *at* his shoulders right now, yes. But like you, I'd hesitate in going to the next slots because they're so much higher? I'm curious to read what's recommended for that.
How was the install for you?
And that cover looks so snuggly - it's gorgeous!!!

Is the seating portion of the carseat flat on the vehicle seat, or is it lifted up slightly where your ds's knees go? If it's not flat (it can be hard to get it flat due to the recline bar), Try standing in front of it when installing pushing against the front of the seat with your knees, to really jam that recline bar into the back of your vehicle seat, in a higher position than it's in now. That will make sure the bottom is flush with the vehicle seat and it will help more of the back of the seat to come in contact with the vehicle seat.

It doesn't look *bad* now, I just really like to see it flat on the vehicle seat, with more touching the vehicle seat, KWIM?

Ok I looked this morning at the area that touches the bottom of the seat, and it seems to be flat. However, my seats are slightly sloped, not really bucket, but not flat.

Looks like I will have re-install again anyway when I receive the kit. It wasn't easy to install with the recline bar, hopefully it will be better next time!

Any thoughts on the harness position? I measured his torso height and it is 14 1/2 inches. The next slots up are by his ears.

My DS fits in his regent about the same way. I went ahead and moved the straps up because depending on what he's wearing and how he's sitting, I *swear* he's above the second slots. I'd rather them be too high than too low, kwim? And it really varies day-to-day because he's in the process of potty-training, so depending on if he's wearing a diaper or not, it really determines if he's just at the slots or just above them. And I can't go changing them all the time. When he's not wearing a diaper, the straps come up to about his earlobes, but he still looks pretty snug in there.

I'm really wanting a seat with infinite adjust to avoid this issue.....I just might sell the regent and get a recaro once I find out if they are as good as everyone hopes they will be.
