Our New Radian RXTs

These are really nice seats. I cannot believe how room they are, and the headwings are quite unobtrusive (unlike the BV70s). While I haven't tried it, it seems that the cover comes off without having to take the whole seat apart.

The install is pretty complicated, but I think that is true with all Radians. They went into a 2008 Ford Escape upright--with two people and some struggling--LATCH, RF outboard. The front seats cannot be pushed back all the way, but I think all but the tallest people would be comfortable. There seems to be enough room for another person to sit between the Radians.

Loading a child into the seats is much easier than with the BV 70s because the seats are lower to the ground (since there is no base) and also have lower sides and way more depth. This is important for a high vehicle like the Escape and short parents.

The headwings seems pretty stable, but in any event, they are easy to adjust.

The compartment for storing the harness adjuster strap is tiny--I really can't find the whole strap in there so my kids end up playing with the straps.

The fabric is OK--nothing spectacular, but not awful either.

Overall, it seems like a nice seat--tons of legroom.

I would love to see pics! We have the Boulevard 65 (canada) and my son finds the wings in the way-he is really hard to get into the seat in the first place because he does not like it. He was in his bro's Radian for a week and LOVED it.
