Toyota Highlander - no middle seat

We currently have a Toyota Rav 4 and my daughter is in the center RF in a Britax Advocate. We have a baby that is due in February and I would love to keep the baby in the center although I think that it's pretty much impossible due to the size of the Advocate. The new baby will be in a Chicco Keyfit 30. My question is: Is an infant car seat safe in an outboard position? The Highlander is bigger, but the center seat is short and will not accommodate a car seat. Thanks!

I would be perfectly fine putting the infant seat in an outboard position, they will still be very safe.

Car seats are all safe outboard as long as they are installed properly. You can install a car seat in the middle of Highlander as long as it fits next to the outboard seat.
