Question Protesting RF all of a sudden

My DD is 33 months and has always been RF, she has never rode FF. She had never minded until now. She doesn't mind getting in her seat, she has a MA 70. All of a sudden when I break, especially at all quickly or make a sharp turn, she starts kind of freaking out. Like ahhh, she acts nervous. I really am committed to keeping her RF to at least 3. She is 28 lbs and super short, she will for sure fit in the MA until 3.
Any suggestions on helping her? We are moving from MN to FL in Dec, and are driving our van on the 29 hour drive, so I'm freaking out a bit thinking she might be fussing on the long drive. Any suggestions? I could try making her seat more upright, she does look out the windows I know because she talks about what she sees. I kind of am feeling like she should have an opinion soon, but really feel strongly about keeping her RF to 3.

What makes you think it has to do with being RF?

Heather, CPST and Momma to Dustin 11/01, Colton 6/08 and Peyton 6/09

She's been totally well and has never had an ear infection or ear issue.

I don't know if FF would cure it, just wondering if other kids do this at a certain age or if there is something to help it.

Toddlers are mysterious creatures. Does she act nervous about other things, too, or just this. Any changes recently, like potty training, weaning, preschool, etc? Is your family talking a lot about the move?

I babysit for a little girl who is about the same age. SHe has been happy and sunshine since she was born, but in the last month she has started being down in the dumps, unexplained crying jags, etc. I think at this age they are having more complicated feelings and reactions, but they don't know how to express them, kwim?

Maybe some time you and she could just sit in the back together before or after a car ride, and just let her talk about whatever she wants to talk about. Maybe something will come out that sheds some light.

She is for sure under more stress, but has been better lately. She doesn't protest all the time. I shouldn't even say protest, because she doesn't mind getting in her seat. It's very rarely that she even says anything, but when she does I feel bad that she acts nervous. We got her a Philips DVD player that I love because it's SO easy to use and hooks to the seat head rest so tightly. I think that will occupy her for at least some of the trip to FL.
