Diono same as Sunshine Kids?

I saw Diono Radians at Wayfair. Are they the same as SK Radians?

Sunshine kids changed their name to diono. I also think there were changes to some of the seats.
At least that is what I am picking up from people talking about the seats.

SKJP changed their name to Diono. They also changed the Radians a bit. They now have a booster mode, though from what I'm seeing it doesn't actually fit kids well. The sides of the seat by the child's thighs rotate outward to give more room, and there's a cupholder.

Diono wanted to be a worldwide brand and they felt that the name Sunshine Kids was not right for that. I own a SK Radian and I have had the opportunity to play with the Diono Radian a bit. I didn't think I was going to like the Diono Radian but I ended up liking it much more than I thought I would. I do not feel that it will be useful for very long in booster mode for many kids. They made some changes to the seating area that cause kids to have more room in the Diono than they do in the SK versions which make the Diono last longer by height. If you can get one on sale, I think you will like the Diono version a lot, just don't expect it to be the last seat you need to buy as you will need a booster later.
