I took my girls to the Dr for WCC yesterday, and my 4.5yo is 38" tall, 29.5lbs. I turned her back rf in her MA today. Anyone else here w/a kiddo over 4 still rf?

Wendy's Piper was RF beyond 4. Mikayla was over the weight limit when I got the MA, so I couldn't turn her back. She was almost 4 at that time. (and before that, was in a combination seat)

I WISH! My two year old is the size of your 4 year old

He is 31 pounds and 37 inches tall! Still rear facing for a few more pounds :)

She loved it, used to tease me that I couldn't be as safe as her

:ROTFLMAO: :2thumbsup:

Yeah, I wish we could -- Leila made it RF till shortly after her 4th birthday before she reached both the height & weight limit at the same time....

I wish! Ilana was so upset she was crying when I took her Radian and turned it back forward facing (I was seeing if it installed rear facing ok). We made it just under three though

SO teeny tiny! that would be so cool if my dd could be rf, but she is about double yours in weight!
I say do it long as possible!!

I wish! My 4year old DD is 36-37lbs. My almost 2 year old DS is 30lbs too, so I don't think we have very much longer with him either.

Well, as soon as the nurse told me her weight, my first thought was, "Oh, I better turn her MA back around!" ;) My kids are always on the very low end of the chart (my 4.5yo especially, and has been known to be below 1% for weight and usually 3-5% in height). She doesn't mind being RF again, I just explained that she's safer till she reaches 33lbs, and she was good with it. Luckily she buckles in all by herself (she's the one who reminds her 7yo sister to pull her chest clip up and tighten her harness on the Apex :D), so I don't have to climb to the back of the van and buckle her in RF, which would be really difficult. I'm a little more nervous about ordering the Radian now, though, because I've read that it's harder to get a good RF install, and I didn't think we were going to be needing it RF, so I'll def. be buying it from EliteCarSeats.com so that I can return it for an extra $8 if it doesn't work.

My just turned 5 yo is mad that she weighs too much to rf. She told the nurse at her 5 year check up that she wanted to weigh 30 lbs so she could rf again. The nurse looked at us like we had two heads. She hit 33lbs at around 4.5 and just hit 35 so she can't rf in her Scenera, although she took a couple of trips that way last week when she was sick and had lost a few pounds.
