What performs best without a top tether?

Dh's 'new' car has no top tether anchors. I can have them installed, but we might end up selling the car anyway since he's leaving in a couple months. At any rate, what is safest for DS until then? I have on hand a FR85, ProSport and a Radian(thought I'd prefer to use this RF for DD since I can get an easy upright install :D ). I also have readily available a Nautilus if I must.

Any insight? TIA.

If you install the FR85 using LBP, the shoulder belt placement will provide some reduction in forward movement.

Without the Radian in the mix, the Nauti tested very well untethered.

That's kind of what I was thinking about the FR85. However, whatever seat I use is going in our 'beach car.' I rather like my FR85 and don't really want it all messed up. So much so that I'm willing to fork out $$ for a Nauti. Or, I DID see a 80SL at the Exchange a couple days ago. I'm betting it's still there. Clearly an online return since they don't carry them in store. I'm wondering how much it is. If it's cheaper than a Nauti I might bite and just put two RN's in there.

I'd go with the ProSport. The way the seatbelt is routed it acts as a tether, to an extent.

That's what I've got in there now because it's the seat I like the least. LOL Hey, Wendy, didn't you have an Xterra at one point? Am I dreaming or can I get a nice RF Radian install that's pretty upright?

Yup. Perfectly comfortable angle with no work.

LOL No stalk twisting in the center. Too long. Outboard, I can't remember. I think so, but I'm not positive. It certainly wasn't as long as the center stalk, so probably.
