Head excursion question

Ds3 is now FF in all of our vehicles :(. The seats we have for him here are the TFP, MA70, MR and GN. He has to be in the MR in dh's car to make a 3 across work. I need to decide what seats he should be in in my van and our truck. He is currently in the MA70 in my van and TFP in the truck. Ds2 just outgrew the GN but I am not crazy about the seat for ds3. So does anyone know which of those seats has the best head excursion numbers?

I know that the MA70, TFP, and GN all do quite well untethered. Don't know about the MR.

ETA: I just re-read your post. Are you asking about using a seat untethered, or just in general?

In general. Right now they are all tethered but every once in a ehile in the summer he would need to be in a spot that is untethered. I need to sell one seat but don't know which to sell. I was all set to sell the GN because I don't love the fit but I thought I had read the head excursion numbers were better than some other seats.

Those who have better information than I do say that the federal limits are safe. As long as the seat passes (and they all do), then I don't really care what the exact number is.
