S/O: What is the Purpose of the Diono Angle Adjuster?

Is it just to help achieve a 45 degree angle for newborns, or is it useful for older kids too?

I'm 99% sure I'm ordering some Dionos--my car is still in the shop, so I have a few days left to decide, though.

It's to get the seat more upright. Not for newborns at all.

I believe there is a 1 year age minimum on it, or a minimum of some sort (age or wt).

Yeah, the problem with the seat is thar it's often too reclined for an older child. The wedge is supposed to help get it more upright.

It's sort of an anti-pool-noodle, both in placement and purpose.
