I think I have to buy a new vehicle

Because nothing FITS in my car. It's a five-passenger vehicle, I should be able to put five passengers in it. But no. It's a four-passenger vehicle with a spare seatbelt.

I've just spent I don't know how many hours trying to fit three across. I'm working on a configuration that I've done before, so it SHOULD work, but it doesn't. I thought I had it a couple minutes ago, then discovered that my center seat is loose. And I think I cracked the EPS foam on my Radian headwings. Yay.

ugh I'm sorry. I totally agree. I love my car, but it's a 4 seater with an extra seat belt. There are a very few combos that work for 3 across, and all of them suck.

Oh yeah the only way I can even fit three people is if a couple of them. Are small people butt-wise. That and lack of a headrest in the middle precluding most people from sitting there

If it makes you feel any better, my Mother's 5 passenger car is only a 3 passenger. She insists Sofi's carseat be center.....and then no one else can sit in the back.

What car do you have?

I was stressing when I thought I was going to be stuck with my dads alero! You said before its similar to yours. 3 across would be a nightmare!

I hear you... I'm hoping dd fits in her infant seat for a long time, because I'm not sure if there is a 3 across without it! And of course she has to be the child with an insanely long torso... so will probably outgrow the infant seat sooner rather than later... *sigh*

Yep, without having the third row installed my 'five' seater is really a four seater. Maybe with a smaller seat installed in the middle spot I could fit five people as long as the two non-car seaters in the back were small.

On a side note, it is the same thing in DH's car. On the days he drives for lunch, the two that squeeze in the backseat (this I would like to see :D) often complain about the car seat being in their way. Um, then why aren't one of you driving instead of DH?
