Question Is this safe?

I have been trying to learn as much as I can about carseat safety to keep my now 3 month old safe. Everyone here has been a great help. It is such a great resource to read your concerns.

I though I was doing well when I picked an infant seat that had a winter cover available. I though so long as the manufacturer was approving its use it would be okay. Now, reading your concerns, I am not so confident.

We are about to have out first cold day. We live in Alaska. It is predicted to get to -25 Ina couple days. It will likely dip below -40 at some point this winter. We do not drive more than 15 minutes at a time (we live centrally in town, everywhere is within 15 minutes) and the car will barely start producing warm air 5 minutes or so before we stop.

Is this cover safe to use though? If you could share your thoughts, I would appreciate it so much. Thanks.
I am trying to attach a photo.

Did it come with the seat? Is there anything in your car seat's manual allowing the use of the same manufacturer's products? And does it require the harness straps be threaded through slots in the back?

Is that the Orbit organic cover-thing? If so, that is an approved product, and you're fine.

It did not come with the seat, it was sold separately.
I looked in the manual, and it says that only accessories that have been approved may be used. There is no actual mention of the winter cover, or anything else.
The cover fits around the harness straps. All of the slots are an exact match to the harness slots.
Maybe I shod just call the manufacturer.

If it was made by them for that car seat then is ok but you can also call them if you fill comfortable, they have different products for their car seats, depending of were you live is what you will need
