How much overhang is acceptable with Regent install?

I've got a 2007 GMC Acadia with 2nd row captains chairs. My 4.5 year old is 44# and about 46" so I have to use the SBP/recline bar/top tether install. That all went well and is *almost* as solid as the LBP (THANK GOODNESS!!!!) but using the recline bar makes about 3" of the Regent off the front of the car's seat. Before when I wasn't using the recline bar the ENTIRE seat would fit on the car's seat with no problem. I'm ok with the lack of leg room for my big guy if it is acceptable for that much of the seat to hang over. I've pushed and pulled on the seat until I am drenched in sweat and cannot get more of the Regent onto the seat with that darn recline bar installed.

I've got as solid an install as I am going to get and am grateful that the seat still works in my car. :) We just returned from a 12 hour car ride and my son praised his "safe new seat" the entire ride. He slept comfortably and rode so well and I am so glad to have him back in a 5 pt harness again. I'd HATE for this seat to not work because of the darn recline bar!!!

Thanks so much!!!

80% of the base needs to be on the vehicle seat... how big is the base? I dunno lol! I think 3" would be in the range.
