MA cover fading normal?

I washed my MA cover last night for the first time and the edging around the front adjust cover and the belly pad are now faded. Is this normal?

I didn't wash the harness covers and the colour on them is much more vibrant.

that stinks :(

What cover was it?
I haven't had that problem with my covers...but I remember someone had trouble with the onyx regent cover bleeding onto their ds's clothing. I can imagine that if a cover could bleed...it could fade also.

You might want to call Britax and see what they have to say after the Regent fiasco calms down a bit (and wait times are a bit shorter). They might offer to replace it for you.

Your Cowmooflague cover faded? Hmm... that is odd!
Yes it wasn't so much the cover but the trim that goes around the belly pad and the front adjuster cover. I didn't wash the harness strap covers and they are still very black and when held up to the belly pad and adjuster cover they look faded; they look faded just being up against the seat.

I've had the black on my Radian cover fade but never my MA. I'm having my cover replaced so maybe Britax will do the same for you?

I know that the cotton covers fade A LOT...but I have never heard of a plush cover fading.
It isn't so much the plush cover that is fading it is the detailing or the trip going around the belly pad and the front adjust cover. I think that because it is black you can really tell that it faded and pilled especially since it is up against the black in the cowmoo.

I called Britax and received excellant CS from Michelle

The wait time wasn't even all that bad . . . much better then it was when there was the BV recall!
