When to replace harness? CCO and spit up

DS2 has spit up more times than I can count in his seat. Always all over his CCO straps. I've wiped them down twice in his almost 4 months of riding in it (bad, I know, I should have tried to keep them cleaner, but I do wipe off the spit up when it happens if I can - as in if it happens when I first put him in or go to take him out).

So since there's been, basically, continual spit up on the straps would you look into replacing the harness or let it go? I just feel like it's been a LOT of spit up just sitting there ykwim?

I would definitely have at least one spare harness. That way you could take the other one out clean it and have a fresh one to put in.

auto-correct on the loose..

I called about Combi about this exact issue and was told they don't stock spare harnesses for order. Basically the CS rep said that vomit/spit up isn't a concern for the straps and to spot clean them with mild dish detergent and water.

Interesting! Thanks for the heads up. Kind of a bummer though. I'd like to have a new set on hand.

Of ALL of the many seats I've owned over the years, the CCO harness is the WORST for stains. I don't know if it's the slick surface or what, but my CCO harness just looks awful.

So what would happen if I needed a harness because it got damaged or snagged on something when it wasn't in the car? Combi seriously ought to have spare harnesses available.
