Question Harnesses for lap-only positions

Totally hypothetical. I am just trying to learn.

What products would you recommend for, say, an antique vehicle with lap-only belts where the occupants will be adults and older boostered children? I'm getting confused reading through all the older threads. TIA

ETA- I know the lack of headrests are an issue for the adults, but let's just accept that and focus just on the restraints for this, plz.

Re-ETA- Would the same recommendations be made for, say, the rear center position of an older SUV, which is often lap-only?

Ez-On 86Y is my first thought.
There is a poster here that has an antique car and uses one with her older boys in it I am pretty sure.

I do not use my rear middle seat unless it is for a harnessed carseat. There is only a lapbelt and no headrest.

I know that some situations you have to deal with. How old are the kids?

I'd rear face as long as possible, and then use a Britax Frontier 85 harnessed as long as possible, then use an 86Y with the Frontier as a booster. That should last until a child can be in the front seat.

Let's say the hypothetical children are 6 yo and up.

Is an 86Y an option for an adult that, for whatever reason, has to sit in a lap-only position (even though there is no headrest)?

It is always preferable to have upper-torso restraint. The weight limit is 168 pounds so most people who are larger than an average man would be over the limit.

Thank you for all the replies. So nice of you all to take the time to answer a hypothetical question when there are so many real-life questions on the boards. :)

ETA- Part of my confusion stemmed from the fact that I thought E Z On and 86Y were two different products. I did not realize the 86Y was an E Z On product. But I was also unsure if an adult could use a harness like that, which Pixels answered.
