Feel/texture of Cowmooflage Marathon

Hi! I just got the Britax Marathon 70 in Onyx today. I really dislike the slick plasticky feel of the cover. Is the Cowmooflage one soft? We have an older Marathon with a brown cover that is very soft and nice...was hoping the new cover would be like that as well.

TIA.

The cowmoo will be like you old cover. Onyx is soft on the black part and slick on the other part.

Thanks for the fast reply! I will send this one back and order the cowmooflage one then. Just don't like that feel of the Onxy one.

I feel the same way but live in FL And every Britax I see is Onyx because they are the coolest (temp wise) fabric and the Cowmoo is the most hot and some say too hot for Florida summers.

That is good to know too. I live in NW Washington State...so hopefully won't be too hot.

I lived in GA and had no problem with the cowmoo being too hot. Or any of my other plush Britax covers :) But I guess my vehicle is new-ish and has good AC.

Well that makes me happy to hear.... I read thousands of reviews on several sites and maybe the people that complained didn't have tint and/or a/c or some other factor. I have been loving Cowmoo since they came out but didn't want to get one because of the people saying that. I have a newer car with great a/c but it's black with black interior and it does get ridiculously hot sometimes. The onyx material supposedly breathes a lot better according to everyone I know that has one vs a plush one. I have only had plushy covers and I know how sweaty my daughter gets during summer even on a quick ride to the grocery store! I ended up with a plush recaro because their site says something to the effect of having "cool mesh air ventilation" but it definitely doesn't breathe well at all!!
