If you had 3500 to spend on a car...

that would be primarily used as a commuter car (so good gas mileage is a must!) but would also be used on a semi-regular basis to transport up to three children what would you look at?

DH drives about 65 miles round trip for work five days a week. Our three boys are all FF and would be in Radians, I don't see myself ever installing their FR85s in his car. DD is currently in the KF30 and will be for the foreseeable future.

My Malibu. You have seen what I can do 3 across. I bet you could get one close to the age of mine for that price. So....did you talk to him?

We came to a compromise. This tax season he will car shop but we have to agree on whatever he comes across. He'll drive that for a year and then we should have most of the Expedition paid off, he'll have one or two raises and we'll probably adjust how many dependents he claims to have the extra monthly income to pay a car payment so he can get his Tacoma he's been dreaming of for a couple of years.

I don't know though if I'll be able to convince him to buy a Chevy product.

mid-to-late-90s Honda Accord. Hands down. My 2nd choice might be a 2001ish Escape or Tribute.
