The Great Houdini Dog - we NEED a new system.

We currently have a harness system that uses a tether that buckles into the seat belt buckle, but our dog Pretzel has gotten good at getting out of that. I *think* it's due to the Gen3 buckles in our Chrysler T & C.:( She just stands on the buckle, and voila, she's unhooked.
She won't stay buckled for more than 30 seconds. Heck, if she stays in for 30 seconds, that's pretty good these days.

Does anyone know if the PetBuckle Kwik Connect Tether can be used on any harness system? If we could LATCH her in, that would be perfect, as long as she doesn't figure that one out. .
I'd hate to have to buy a new harness if I don't have to.

ETA: I'm also looking at the Doggie Catcher, it has a cover that is supposed to protect the release button.

TIA for any tips.:)

I used the Pet Buckle tether for LATCH hookup on my Ruff Rider ... but those are only 2 harnesses I trust in the vehicle.

I actually just posted a dog question before I saw yours but, I have no real advice. Just wanted to say wow!, that's one smart dog you have. I can't see how she could undo a LATCh connection, if that's what you mean.
It seems like your best bet will be a new harness, unfortunately for your bank account.
Good luck with your escape artist.
Also, I have to ask, pretzel is a weiner dog, right?:D

LOL, nope, Pretzel is part Lab part Border Collie.

She's not undone LATCH before, but with how quickly she gets out of the buckle, I don't put anything past her.

The harness she has is fine, but the tether to to anchor it is what she is able to get undone - at the buckle.

I think I'll try the PetBuckle Kwik Connect tether - It looks like it should hook onto the loop on our current harness, and then will hook onto a LATCH anchor.

She's so cute! It's gotta be the border collie in her getting her out of that buckle. They're so smart.
Our new baby just starting baking this weekend...hopefully! We have our "order" in for a female yellow lab. We can't wait.
