Larry Schultz Organic Farm has issued a voluntary recall of Lunds & Byerly’s Organic, Kowalski’s Organic, and Larry Schultz Organic Farm brand organic shell eggs due to contamination with Salmonella Enteritidis. Eggs affected by this recall were distributed to restaurants, grocery stores, food wholesalers and foodservice companies in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan.

Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. is recalling approximately 5,000 lbs. of Turkish Pine Nuts sold in the Bulk Foods department of most Wegmans stores in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, and Maryland between July 1 and October 18, 2011 due to possible Salmonella contamination.

Judy's Catering, LLC., a Burbank, Calif., establishment, is recalling approximately 4,100 pounds of Emuna Foods and Hacor brand ready-to-eat meals because they were produced without the benefit of federal inspection. The ready-to-eat meals were sent to distribution centers in the Los Angeles County, Calif. area who may have sold them to airlines and hospitals.

YAMAYA USA, INC of Torrance, CA is recalling Masago (Capelin Roe), because it has the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The Masago (Capelin Roe) was distributed to retail stores in Los Angeles (California), Baltimore (Maryland), Atlanta (Georgia), and Mexico.

Landshire of St. Louis, MO is expanding its recall of the Nike Sandwich as a precautionary measure to include the addition of the Nike Super Poor Boy Sandwich as well as increased production dates of the Nike All-American Sandwich. The products may contain Listeria Monocytogenes.
The Nike All-American sandwiches were distributed Nationwide at Convenient Stores, Wholesale Food Distributors and Retail Supermarkets.

Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market Inc., is voluntarily recalling fresh bagged Washed Spinach 12oz, with the Enjoy by date of OCT 16 sold under the f&e™ label due to a Listeria monocytogenes risk. The recalled product was sold in Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market stores located in California, Nevada, and Arizona.

American Egg Products of Blackshear, Georgia, is recalling five pound cartons of frozen egg product, Lot #272-1, because they may be contaminated with Salmonella. The recalled egg product was distributed to Georgia and Florida and sold to three distributors and/or further food manufacturers.

Original Fried Pies, Inc., a Davis, Okla., establishment, is recalling approximately 8,888 pounds of frozen meat and poultry pie products because they are misbranded and contain sodium benzoate, a food preservative, which does not appear on package labels and is not approved for use as an added ingredient in meat and poultry products. The products were produced between April 27 and Oct. 27, 2011 and distributed for use at restaurant locations in Arkansas, Colorado, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas.
