I have read in so many places how the FPSE is so short compared to the RA and kids will last longer in the RA RF. I can see it FF since the shoulders can be above the top slots...but rear-facing my 21 month old has no extra room in the RA. Her shoulders were a bit more than 2 inches above the middle slots on the FPSE (the FP limit for RF), and her head was about an inch from the top. Hoping to keep her RFing in DHs car I switched her to the RA RF. Well, her head is within an inch of the top of the shell. I even took the cover off to make sure I wasn't losing my mind...I know I can continue using the RA rfing since Britax allows it where FP doesn't, but don't most of you still like the 1 inch rule vs. the top of the ears level with the shell? Should I give up and turn her FFing?
Anyone have both these seats and find their kids fit in them differently?
