The time has come to flip DS FF. He's been rf in the Radian SL and I've been wondering when he would hit 40lbs. I was hoping we'd make it to his 4th bday in March but I weighed him today and he was 40lbs buck necked. :(

I know he's safe, I know he's made it much longer than DD(flipped her at 1 before I knew any better)but I still was hoping to go longer. It was so weird driving today and seeing him in the mirror smiling back at me.

Also can I say I don't like the Radian FF. It seems difficult to get a tight fit, I don't like how the seat belt catches on the car seat. Maybe it's just my vehicle, I have a 2000 Dodge Caravan.

Well, you did great. I first ERF, I wanted to make to 4, and got 3.5. How are you tightening the seat belt? From where? Post pics?

i also hate the way the RN80 fits ffing, i have a 05 dodge caravan and the belts are so far forward it is always catching it wrong and messed up looking

Just to chime in, the RN fits terrible FF in my subie as well, decent in the van in the 3rd row but terrible in the second.

It must be the car. mine works great FF in both my Civic and my Suburban. It's a bear to install with the Suburban's 3rd row seat belts, but it is a breeze in the captain's chairs and in all seats once it's installed it's easy to adjust and is comfortable for the kids who use it.

Did you make sure the adjusting strap isn't caught up off-center under the Radian? I have that problem once in a while both RF and FF.

Could be either one of these problems. I'll take pictures today, I'm just so lazy right now drinking my coffee.

Twist the belt stalk down. I would do this while kneeling in the seat, and then rebuckling.
