Anyway, he almost even with the top slots on his Nautilus. Is that about normal? When did your kid outgrow it?

Sounds similar to my youngest. DD2 is 6 years old and outgrew the Nauti's harness by height over the summer. ETA: DD2 is little miss long torso. :)

Cousin (was 6 in June) still is easily on the 3rd slots (there are 4, right?) She has a teeny tiny torso though... 4T shirts are just now starting to get a bit snug on her.

Summer is still on the 3rd harness height, she is fairly short. Leah is on the second slot, she is tiny. Both my girls have a long ways to go in weight. These were my friends car seats, and we use them when we have traveled with her in the past, but now that we are in the states we won't be using them anymore. When we moved I donated all the size 18-24 month clothing we still had, that Leah at four was still wearing. She now wears size 2-3 depending on what brand and style, she wears a size 2-3 pant. Summer wears size 3-5 again depending on brand. She wears a size 5 or 6 pants. She has long legs.

Ninja will be 7 in 3 weeks and has a good 1 1/2 inches before outgrowing the harness height.

ETA - my nephew just turned five and will outgrow it within the next year. He has 1/2 of harness height left.

Ds2 turned 6 at the end of June. He is about even with the top slots now. He wants a blue Monterey for Christmas so I hope he can make it and the new Montereys get released by the end of this month like they are supposed to.

Ds (just turned 6 in Sept) still has one more harness slot to go.

My niece, who was 8 in February, was still using her GN and was just barely to the top slots a couple of months ago when I checked and my dsis just moved her to a Monterey (which she LOVES).

6 years, 7 months here...I was very sad I had to remove it from our rotation last month (it doesn't fit in 3 across in booster because we can't get it buckled) :(

So now I sell one and the other one sits on the shelf for about 6 mos until DS2 is ready to FF in it.

DS was a just truned 6 yr old when he outgrew it bolt upright in my van capts chairs. He outgrew it in most cars by about 5.5 I think.

I'm quite certain my 8 1/2yo would still fit. We sold ours last year and he was only on the 3rd slot. He actually fits in our RN's still.

ETA: My dd could still fit in the GN harness at 10yo. Yeah, my middle two kiddos have super short torsos. lol

My son was just about 7 when he outgrew it. However when I reinstalled it in another position in my car I got magic room and he stayed in it another month or so...

My guy is the same age as yours and has space in his current harness spot and one full slot above before he's too tall, which is great b/c he's not 40# yet! LOL

DS is 44.5 inches tall, 16 inch torso and 38.5 lbs ;)

The Nautilus is supposed to have 18" top harness slots. I would estimate that we have less than a half inch before he is over the top slots. The math doesn't make sense though.

I do have it reclined. Not sure if that would make a difference.
