Bata Bus?

Hi all,

My 3yo DD is going to preschool part time this year. They will be taking a few field trips using a bata bus, which to my understanding has seat belts. The note sent home says that car seats and boosters are not needed. Would you feel comfortable letting your child ride in this type of vehicle or not. Currently she is still RFing in an XTSL. The other option is to go along with each field trip and drive her myself. (Honestly this is the way I'm leaning but I just wanted to find out if there is any substansal reason to reconsider)

Any experience with this kind of transportation? thoughts?

Are you in the Bay Area, Andrea? There are several bus systems across the country that use the acronym BATA. :)

Knowing where you are would help me come up with more information. Generally public transportation does not have seatbelts, and generally we consider that okay. Generally though, we are not talking large numbers of preschoolers on public transportation. There are many factors to consider. Once I have a little more info on the buses involved, I can let you know my opinion. :)
