Last night coming out of Walmart, I peeked into the car next to me and there was an Graco Bucket badly installed in the back seat. It was crooked and tilted. I can only hope there was no child in Walmart going back into that seat.
This made me think. Does anyone have brochures or a card with the site link on it that you leave on people's cars? A nice note? I know most people don't care but some do and I just have to wonder if maybe I had left something, it would have gotten a child safer.
A couple of weeks ago at the drive thru at the bank, There was a guy that pulled up next to me with an 11 yr old in the front seat of the car and no belt. He was no bigger than my 7yr old.
I just said, " I am sorry and please don't think I am trying to step on your toes, " And then just explained why his son was safer in the back and he should be wearing the belt... and he was kind and thanked me.. Did he do something about it? I don't know.. but at least he listened.
So what about cars with no occupants and bad installs? do you leave anything? Wait? What?
