Couldn't believe it!

In my neck of the woods, it's pretty unusual to see babies sitting in the front seats of cars. For the first time tonight, I saw a baby in what looked like a high back booster (harness mode I hope) though I couldn't see the harness or seat belt. She was sitting in the front seat. I would estimate she was a year or younger. She was slumped over to the side of the seat:( My brother saw many kids bouncing around in the back of the minivan so I called 911 and reported the situation. Hopefully someone will find them and get them secured better:(

You did the right thing. Instead of calling 911, see if your state or county has a special phone number to report unstrainted children. Some states do!
In Missouri where I live I can dial *55 on my cell and I am connected to a Missouri Highway Patrol Operator. I have reported several people this way. Much better than calling 911 ;)

Here is a link to the non-emergency numbers in various states: http://www.nextel.com/en/services/calling/nonemergency.shtml

Oh,man! I hope someone slaps some sense into those parents! Honestly, some people never learn until it's too late...
