Why will you bother using the infant seat, rear facing, snug harness, if you are not going to buckle the infant seat to the car??????? I have seen this so many times in the last month that I am just............... People think that because the baby is harness in the car seat they "ok". People, if you are not using the base, the infant seat has to be install to the car with the seat belt! Please!

Back when my boys were little and I couldn't afford one of those fancy new infant seats with a base, there were a few times when I got to my destination and realized with horror that I'd forgotten to buckle the seat into the car.

Not saying all these people are merely having "brain farts" and forgetting, but it does happen to all of us now and then.

I understand that a new doesn't at first but I have seen this lady every day when I go to pick up 3 kids from elementary school and every day the baby seat is unbuckle, is a graco snug ride, and she has 3 more kids, and this is only one of the many that I have seen lately, maybe I wasn't paying to much attention before

I actually accidently done that with one of my boys recently :(

The bases were in dh's car and I had only Jackson with me. We went to the post office, I un buckled the seat belt and took him out of the seat. When we got back in the car I just buckled him back up in the seat, buckled and tightened the harness. It was at the next stop when I realized I didn't buckle the seat belt. I'm glad we did make that second stop 1 mile down the road and I didn't drive 20 miled home like that.

Trying to type on a tiny touch screen is hard, please forgive my typos.

When you know better, you do better.

She probably doesn't even realize it. What might be common sense to one person may not be to another person.
