Vent Radian stinks FF

My husband broke his leg this weekend and to give him extra leg room I turned our Radian XT FF. It took FOREVER to get the stupid head wings to budge (and I was lifting from the bottom like the manual suggests) and the harness doesn't want to give up any slack when I try to let it out.

Uggg! What am I missing? I'll be designating this a ERF only seat if I can't get it to play nicely!

I find it's easier to adjust the headwings from the back. There's these metal square things where it is attached to the track. I put my fingers just below those and lift/lower. If one side gets ahead of the other, it will jam, so sometimes there's some wiggling back and forth.

Did you make sure the harness was in its channel under the seat when you installed? The easiest way to do this is to buckle the harness and completely tighten it.

I did stick my finger in and adjust if from the back once I got the headwings up a tiny bit. They were so far down (maybe from him using them as a handle to climb in) that they took awhile. I'll pull it tomorrow and check the harness path.

I kind of took the cover off to adjust the wings. It seemed to help. Once I get those wings all the way up, it is a great seat for FFing.

Really? I find my Radian easy FF but difficult RF. LOl

I set the harness at one tightness though and always make sure he's wearing the same bulk of clothing (tshirt in summer, fleece in winter). And the headwings I had to use a bit of force but not much.
