Question Radian next to Triumph Advance?

I've got a 2009 Toyota Camry, a 2yo daughter (23lbs) in an Evenflo Triumph Advance, and a new baby on the way. The tightening knobs are really hard to turn when the EFTA is RF on the side seats, but just fine if it is in the middle.

I'm pretty sure I want to get a Radian 80 for the second car seat, but they don't sell them in stores anywhere locally, so I can't test it out in my car before buying. My hope is that I can put the EFTA RF in the middle for the baby, and the Radian on the side for my daughter (I'd prefer RF, but I'm ok with FF). Does this sound doable?

Also, I've seen that the Sunshine Kids brand is changing to Diono, so the old seats with the Sunshine Kids branding are on sale. Any differences between the seats to be aware of? Am I correct in assuming that the expiration date on the Sunshine Kids seats will be closer to 7 years than 8 years?

These are the 2 seats we are currently using. I have used them both RFing and the Radian FFing next to each other and swapped from middle to driver side. They puzzle well together. I currently have the EFTA RFing in the middle for DS and the RN FFing drivers side for DD.

I love the RN. When they come out with the toddler adjuster I plan to put DS RFing driver side in the RN. I can't comfortably drive with it now behind the drivers seat.

The RN and EFTA puzzle together pretty well, but you won't be able to use the adjuster knob on the RN side.
I had a FF RN and RF EFTA next to each other for just over a year, but the EFTA was outboard and Rn centre.

The Diono seats will be 3-in-1s. They are adding belt guides and booster mode, but the child must be over the fourth slots and over 50 pounds to use it as a booster. Height limits are significantly higher for harness mode (57 inches instead of 53, IIRC). Weight limits are the same, slots are the same. The interior of the seat is supposed to be two inches wider for the child without being any wider on the outside. Oh, and let's not forget the cupholders: up to four cupholders can be added to the Diono.

Sunshine Kids Radian expiry date is 8 years and the new seats will offer a 10 year life span. The difference between old vs. new are the following:

Larger at the hips
Larger in the shoulder area
Cup holder
Expandable sides
Booster feature up to 120lbs (R120 and RXT) and 100lbs (R100)

Either way you cannot go wrong with one or the other.
