Gah! My first FB car seat debate...

...and it's not even my FB acct.! lol.

My friend contacted me to help her with one of her friends that just posted a pic of their just turned 1yo in her new "big girl" car seat forward facing. She did her best to educate and fight off all the comments but then she had to call in for back up. I'm not friends with this person so my friend had me log into her FB acct. so that I could put all the horrible miss information that was going around to an end. Ugh. Gave everyone lots of facts and correct info and told everyone to come here for a visit.

I try not to get into public debates about car seats with my friends. I just know that when someone publicly challenges things I choose to do with my daughter, it makes me defensive. When I have said things to friends about car seat usage, I always private message them. I too recently had a friend turn her newly-turned-1-year-old around, and she didn't care about the info I presented on keeping him rear-facing, insisting he was a big boy (30lbs) and besides, "it's a Britax!" However, I have convinced my SIL over FB to keep my nephew harnessed till he's 5. It's so frustrating when people won't listen to reason about keeping their kids safe!

I am a member of a couple of forums as well as private groups on FB. *EVERYTIME* I see someone ask a question about car seats, I tell them to come over here!

I'm not a very active member but I can usually search and look through previous posts and get my question answered! I think you girls provide excellent advice and way smarter than any Joe-Shmoe off the street talking about car seats!
