I don't know why this just occurred to me now, but I realized the other day that the back 2 seats in my Tribeca do not have head rests. At.ALL.

SO basically, whoever is back there needs to be in at least a HBB, correct?

Correct. The must have whiplash protection. So, they weren't taken out, they just never existed?

I saw a van the other day (old Caravan) with no headrests for the driver, passenger, or any back passengers!

Yeah but the Tribeca has only been out since 2006 (IIRC) and they have always had headrests.

ya, my dil has such an old one, it only has lap belts in the back 2 rows. But as aurora said, the tribeca has had headrests,. i'm pretty sure from the beginning....OP, were they removed? are there like holes for them? Also, when fully down, they just like like the regular seat, i think....could they be movable, and you just dont realize it?

Bahaha! I feel like a dork. I went out to put the seats back down and there ARE headrests...just hiding. Dang it. That was a good argument for a new car in a few years.:p

I had an '86 Caravan and while it didn't have adjustable head restraints, the seat back was plenty high enough for me, and usually I don't have enough with modern adjustable ones.

Nothing in back, though. No shoulder belts, either. Just lap.
