So, it gets worse.........my 'new' Platinum Graco CarGo with the old DOM from Albeebaby.com:thumbsdown:, (they won't change it but reimbursed me $20), has top slots that measure less than 16"! What's the deal with that?

I read here and on the common carseat measurement guide that the CarGo has 17" top slots. I bought it for that reason - I needed a second seat with high top slots that is lightweight for carpooling for my petit 5yr old.

Mine is the Sydney fabric - is that considered to be the old design? Is mine faulty? Can anyone here measure their Sydney CarGo and compare? Thanks

So now, not only do I have an old seat, but it doesn't even meet my needs.

Firstly, I sat my daughter in it and was surprised to see how close she was to the top slots, (in the Chase and Generations at the store she was nowhere near the top slots, and both apparently have shorter top slots). Then I poked my finger through to find the top slots and measured from there.

Thanks so much for the link:thumbsup: I guess I bought the wrong one! Now that I recall, my dd did try the Zephyr in Target, and she had a lot of room to grow, but I didn't like the color or feel of the material so I bought the Sydney online. I could kick myself now. What am I going to do with this seat now!

Does anyone know if it is official that the CarGos have different top harness slot heights? Does Graco claim that to be the case?

Graco flatly refuses to admit their Cargos have any different heights or sizes.... I don't know what that's all about...
