I have a 2000 Impreza WRX and we use a compaq Deluxe car seat for our 2 yr old in forward facing position. When it was originally fitted the seat fitter had real trouble fitting it and used multiple towels and cardboard stacked under/behind it. Now our boy is at the age where grandparents want to borrow the car seat each week and when I try to get it back in I can't get it in tight. I have no trouble fitting it in other cars. I think the problem is the sloping seat- the seat slopes towards the back of the car both under the car seat and at the back of the car seat, as well as having a side rise at the edge of the seat. The angle of the car seat in upright position doesn't match the angle of the WRX seat. Not sure if there are any attachments that could help with this so that we are not having to fiddle with towels etc each time we put it in/out.
