Every car seat should be as easy to install as the Bolero I just put in the 2009 Jetta.:) Latch hooks easy to access. Top tether no issue there. One pull of the latch belt and it was solid - no routing it through the belt path to pull that way. It literally took 30 secs.

LOL what wendy said
i dont think they are really expired, they are recent, its just you NEVER hear the bolero name anymore, it's always generations.

Jan 24 2006 is DOM. It's stamped with don't use after December 2011. I guess that's practically the same thing. Well he doesn't have much use out of it left anyway. He's getting close to 40 lbs. And as far as his shoulders, the slot were above and in the highest slot, but I don't recall how much above.

At any rate, if all installs were so easy, we wouldn't be needed.

Cool. :) I've never installed one. I don't even know that I've seen an honest to goodness Bolero. By the time I was looking at store shelves they were Generations. The Bolero name was just holding on (I got certified in July 2006).

it was a great seat! it was a spare for ruthie/Damian (in different modes) at one point.

the generations 65 is essentially the same seat... the bolero was the generations without the extra pad on the tush and maybe at the head and it didn't have the recline, but it was a good 20 dollars cheaper.

That was my experience with the generations 65 too. So fast and easy to install. Though the nauti only takes me a minute or so in our forester.

Maybe the new Evenflo seats will follow suit. I'm probably going to get one. I haven't used the connectors - Sure Latch. I don't recall if that was the main difference between the two.

That reminds me! I lent one to someone years ago for baby sitting. I'll have to track her down and see whatever happened to the seat. I know she doesn't have a child around anymore.
