I know that there were a couple of us that were having problems with the fit of the Graco Snugride 30/32/35 base when using it with the Snugride 30.
I spoke with customer service this morning and she told me that they admit the fit is not ideal for the 30. She said to make sure that you are firmly pulling up on both the head and foot of the seat in order to remove it from the base.
She also said that she rarely recommends the use of the "universal" base when people call in questioning what base to use for a second car.
I was also under the impression that there was no way you could get the 30 base separately. But, you can order them directly from Graco. They are $49.99 plus $10.95 shipping and handling.
