Need Apex comparisons...

Ok, so how about an Apex for MILs car....

Some people say that kids fit differently in the Apex and that it lasts longer than the Radian (if not used above top slots) and Marathon...So what I want is Where your child fits in the apex and where he/she fits in the MA/Radian for comparison.

I prefer a convertable but can't seem to find one I like for this situation...and the Apex might be good if Jackson had enough time in it...

I tried Hayley in the Modern Blue Apex from Burlington Coat Factory in March, she was already over the top slots. I don't know for sure, but I think she still has some room in a Radian, a smidge. I'll be able to find out as soon as Judi gets her Radian. :D

I wish I could find an apex to try, I am searching past threads and it seems to depend on the child as to whether the apex or radian has more room....

My niece was 48" tall and 57 lbs the last time she rode in the Apex w/harness. It had *just* enough harness left in it for her. She rode in our Britax Decathlon a few months before that and was maybe an inch shorter and a few pounds lighter. When she last rode in the Apex w/harness, she was a good inch over the top slots of the Decathlon.

You would probably not get much use (if any) out of the Apex. My son is using that in my car (which we ride in the most) and he only has a smidge to go before being too tall for the harness - that's even with taking out the toddler pillow under their rear. And he has almost a clear inch in the Radian before being even with the top slots. My son does like the Apex, he says it's very comfortable. For me, it was a little awkward to install - but I'm one of the wierd ones who gets great installs on the Radian. My son has a 16" torso, and his overall height is 42".

Good luck - if it didn't cost too much to ship it - I would let you try it out for a week (I think you're in South Ga, right?)
