Anyone have a GN Elite? I have a question

Does anyone have a GN elite? I'm thinking of buying one for DS, but I need to know something. I believe it comes with gracopedic foam.. Is the foam attached to the cover, or is it just a separate piece under the cover?

I'm wondering because DS says the regular GN hurts his butt, but I think the foam will help. Problem is, I haaaaate the GN elite covers, and would probably replace it with a pretty cover, but not if I can't use the foam...

So, anyone know?

Neither of the two patterns come with the gracopedic foam. All the pictures I've seen online of Monti show the symbol for it on the cover but it actually does not have it. I have both Gabe and Monti. Also, I don't think the covers are interchangeable, at least for the head rest. There are notches cut out for the buttons to adjust the headrest and the headrest itself is differently shaped than the regular GN.

I *think* you can just pull the regular covers over top of the buttons, but I've never tried it and no longer have access to a GN to check.

But yeah, no foam. The seat bottom cover is a bit thicker/cushier/more padded than the regular GN, but foam free.

Not sure the age, but for someone still harnessed, the ProSport has extra seat padding, and booster-wise, the Monterrey has some sort of foam or something, I think.

You can change the covers. You wont have holes for the red buttons to go through, but honestly, it really isn't a big deal. It's not like you will be adjusting them multiple times a day. I had mine switched as soon as I bought mine so that I could have the lock off one in my car, and my mom could have the regular in hers.

I put the black Breakers cover on GN elite and it fits fine. I don't adjust my headwings so that isn't any issue.
