Question Maestro vs Scenera

So I am watching my friend's DD 1 day a week. She is only 5 days older than my DD, but a head taller, but she has just about outgrown the Scenera, also her normal seat in her car. I took a couple pics to see what you think. I am going to check out our GN to see how long I have left on that, but I would need to order a harness for it as I tossed it from my son throwing up on it and DH washing it :(

Anyway, I would consider purchasing a Maestro to use for DD as a 2nd seat down the road if I knew it would last a good long time.

Below are pics of my friend's DD in the Scenera

1st is her head clearance, 2nd is the shoulder straps on highest height, she is FF.

In the second pic it looks like her shoulders are already over the top slots so it is already outgrown. The maestros top slots are the same as the nautilus so she'd have about 3 inches of growing room in both seats

I am more concerned that this is the seat she rides in everyday in her car and mom isn't as safety conscious as me. I will recommend a Maestro or GN. Any good deals out there??

By height she could still rear face in the Scenera - how much does she weigh and is it a 35 or 40 pound rear facing Scenera?

Her seat and mine are both 35 and I have a feeling she is close, she was 32 at 2. I thought about that, but not sure I want to risk it. I could ask mom to weigh her.

Diapers.com still has the Abby (girly) print for $67.99, with $10 off if it's your first order with them. Hope that helps!

ETA: Is her hood bunched under the harness strap? It looks like it is, maybe you have more time than you're thinking?

That was my thought as well. Take off her jacket and see how it fits without it.

The Maestro would definitely work, though. It's quite a lot taller.
