Bundle Me's

Looking for a link (may have been a blog) stating why the bundle me's are not safe for infant seats.

I have a friend due any day, and another due in Dec (buying her a shower cap style) and I want to make sure that they know how unsafe these are.

Gotta love facebook for posting and getting the info out there!!

Not to derail the thread but...

Uhh... how are they unsafe? I have a BundleMe with harness slots in the back which has no effect on snug harness straps. I use a Graco Snugride22 with it and it has been fine.. I tested it out by putting her normally in the seat and do her harness straps properly then take her out without loosening the harness and put the BundleMe in and put her in and I still can buckle her up without loosening the straps. Plus the harness straps aren't being interfered by the harness straps.

Please let me know! I would love to hear.

I know a lot of the bundle me's do not allow the straps to adjust properly (sometimes too thick, sometimes they do not line up)

Even if the Bundle Me does not appear to change how snug the straps are it is still an aftermarket product that goes behind the harness and is not approved for use by the manufacturer. As techs we preach about how only shower cap style covers should be used, I would not even use a Bundle Me with the back cut out because I don't want other mothers to see it and think it's okay. It's hard enough convincing them not to use them because they're "crash tested".
