Convertible car seat recommendations for 2009 Honda CR-V and 2011 Nissan Leaf

Hi,

I'm looking for recommendations for a convertible car seat for a 2009 Honda CR-V and 2011 Nissan Leaf. I understand that we may need to buy a different seat for each car. My daughter is almost a year old and still quite comfortable in her Graco Snugride 35, but I like to do my research early :) Size-wise, she is in the 30th and 40th percentile for weight/height. I want to keep her rear-facing as long as possible, and would like to be able to fit an infant car seat next to whatever we end up getting for her.

I had been thinking about a Britax Marathon or Boulevard, but am now wondering if that is the best choice for us. I am 5'7" and my husband is about 5'9" and I would like to avoid anything too big that will limit our legroom.

Thanks
Amy

My mom has that gen CRV, and the thing I find most challenging about it is the headroom is SO limited that it is cumbersome getting a RF child in and out of a higher profile seat. We've had a Marathon Classic and a MyRide in it, and both drive me crazy because there's so little room to get the child in and out with a car seat that sits high.

A Radian is a little bit of a tough install, but I bet with the new toddler wedge you could get it upright and have it be nice and low profile for easy loading and unloading and still have room for your passenger and driver seats. It also has the benefit of being very narrow so you will be able to fit other seats next to it easily.

I think a True Fit would be a good fit too - it does have a taller shell but sits fairly upright, and especially if she's a smaller kid, will last for a very long time (as will the Radian).
