Question Britax Advocate CS 70

I have this seat for my 14 month old and can't find anything on this site for it, which makes me a tad nervous. Is there something about this seat that isn't good?

There's nothing "wrong" with it (it's plenty safe, provided it's installed properly and used properly), it's just not a popular Britax model, mostly due to it's hefty pricetag.

There are not only other Britax models available, but other seats produced by other manufacturers, that are much more appealing - safety, feature, and budget wise.

I have a Marathon 70 for my child. He's rear-facing, so I'm comfortable with the side impact protection that provides, in addition to the deep seat shell. My vehicle is equipped with side curtain airbags and the seat is not installed next to another person or child seat, so, in my opinion, I have no need for the side cushions. The Advocate CS 70 has more pronounced headwings and the side cushions. Remove those and you have a Marathon 70, only you're paying $100 more.

If you like the seat, your child likes the seat, it's installed properly in your vehicle (preferably rear-facing, assuming your child is within height/weight limits), doesn't have any recalls, and is used properly every single car ride, then I wouldn't have any worry at all about it.
