Wonderful seatcheck experience

I just had a wonderful experience while getting my RF Scenera checked.

The tech was awesome!

He made sure that I knew what he was doing, why he was doing it, etc. He checked shoulder height vs. slot use, the angle, the expiration date of the seat, the tightness, how it was installed, etc. He told me EVERYTHING as he did it, so that I could understand what he was doing (which I already did, but that's okay. I appreciate it!).

What a great experience!!!

When I told him the RF seat was for a 16-month-old, he didn't bat an eyelash. He said, "That's great! I am glad to hear that she is still RF." :D :D

I even said a few things to "test" him and he caught every one of them!! IT was fabulous!!!

YAY!!!! :cool!:

I've considered telling people to interview/audition their local techs over the phone before deciding which one to visit -- kinda like so many parents do for Pediatricians or babysitters.... "When did you last attend Lifesavers, Kids In Motion or your Regional conference?" :p

Except that a few of us *wonderful* :) techs don't get to go to those for $$$$ or infant-having or other reasons. It doesn't mean we're not good techs!

Maybe one of the tech testing questions could be "What is your post count on www.car-seat.org?" :p

I'm curious to know what questions you used to "test" him as well.

Or reputation level?

I also want to know the test questions?

I'm doing a seat check tomorrow... need to be prepared for those trick questions, :D
