Not that I need it, but...
I was on my way to a meeting this morning and have to walk past a huge store that sells second hand, overstocks, etc (this is inside in an office plaza). I saw a car seat out of the corner of my eye so I stopped in to check it out. It was a BRAND NEW Britax Hippo (special needs) seat! I asked the owner if he knew the history and he said he got it from a wholesaler who didnt have a market for them. The owner buys things in bulk from retailers that is either overstock or to make room for new inventory. Since it still had the tags/etc on it I'm positive it's new.
I paid $45 for it. As he was ringing me up, the owner said "This is a great deal! These seats sell for $150 new, you know!" I choked a little and said "You dont say!" Err...try $550! EEP!
That's my exiting story for the day!
