Question Why don't we tether rf?

Is it because the car manufacturers don't provide an anchor? Wouldn't it help with rebound if the seat was tethered?

You're assuming rebound is bad. There's no evidence it is.

However, Britax and Sunshine Kids/Diono and Combi convertibles can tether RFing, and the Compass TrueFit Premiere and Britax Chaperone have anti-rebound bars.

Our test sleds don't have floors/front seats so it would be hard to compare tethering to non-tethering for the standard test.
