Question 15m old in Como, up to the next slot?

When I place my DD in the seat (she's RFing), it appears as though she may be ready to use the next set of harness slots. But there is so much room between her and the crotch strap that by the time we get to our destination, she's usually slid down to where I would presume she's NOT grown enough to move the straps up. I wish I had before/after photos. I'll have to try it tonite or tomorrow. Any thoughts?

You can put a rolled washcloth between her body and the crotch strap so that she doesn't slump down. Aside from that, if she's below at the end of the trip, then I'd leave the straps down until she's clearly over them.
