folding the Radian...what am I doing wrong?

I just switched the cover on our new replacement Radian, and when I tried to fold it back up, it won't go!

I opened the little velcro passageways, loosened the harness, pulled the levers and started to fold it up...and it just stops at a certain point like something is preventing it from closing.

I have been playing with it forever and I am dumbfounded.

On the old cover, the slots don't really line up right...but I don't see how that could cause a problem.

any ideas??

(oh...and when it arrived, the strap was twisted so that I had to take off the chest clip and buckle tongue and re-thread it, and the safe stop was missing! I just snagged the safe stop off of the seat I'm sending back...but geez! It never ends, does it?)

Those were all the things that I was going to suggest you do. Did you have any luck yet? Does it quit folding abrubtly? Or does it feel like there is just some resistance? If you pick the seat up and shake it does anything sound loose? Do you know that I really have no clue?

just resistance

and the squeaking of the styrofoam, that I am afraid will break if I press too hard, lol

I'll have to keep playing with it.

I wouldn't let them take your old seat unless you can get this one working properly.

Love your new avatar BTW!

They already took it :(

The UPS guy came earlier today for it.

I know it folds...it came folded. I'll probably end up taking the cover off and seeing if it folds that way, so I know whether the cover is what is interfering or not.

oh...and Thanks, Amanda!

One day I'll get siggy pics up too. Somehow my kids only make goofy faces in car seat pics.

No worries :) (that was the problem the first time I ever tried to fold a Radian, lol)

Yes, it is loosey-goosey.

I'll take the cover off and play around with it tomorrow.
