britax marathon classic vs. britax marathon 70

I read about the differences. My 3 year old son has the classic. Are they still manufacturing the classic, or if I bought it, would it have an old manf. date. Also, would you still recommend getting this one if I can get it for the right price? Thanks!

How much does he weigh? How much growing room does he have in the Marathon? And is he still rear facing?

It's not for my son. He has a Britax Marathon classic and a Radian 80. I've been looking to get a deal for the past few months. She's 5 months now and rear facing but I know she will be outgrowing the infant seat soon as she is in the 90th percentile for height and weight. Target has them on clearance (with coupon code) for 155 shipped. What do you think? Is there a huge difference between this one and the 70?

I believe Target is going to have the Classic Roundabout 50 on sale for $100 next week. I personally prefer the Classic Britax seats. But that's from a personal standpoint, not a safety standpoint. The Roundabout 50 is the same size shell as the Classic Marathon.

I prefer the RF limits on the Radian too.

I really do like the install and how the Marathon fits more upright for a tight fit. I'd only get a Classic one though b/c my 2YO still fits in that RF (almost at Canadian 30# weight limit though), but he is too tall for the new MA, so the extra weight wouldn't help us b/c he'd have to be FF in it anyway.

MY ODS was ~32# at 2 1/2 and YDS is 29# at 2yo.
