Scenera vs. Tribute

Hello all! I am curious why the scenera is always recommend over the tribute. As far as I can tell the seats are the same size/ limits. I need an inexpensive, lightweight seat to move between my van FF for daycare girl and my DH's car RF for my son. The last time I tried installing the scenera RF I couldn't get a tight install so I was thinking about the tribute instead.

I actually really like the tribute. It's easy to install RF because of the reclined foot. Whereas the scenera often needs a noodle or rolled towel. The scenera now RF to 40#, though, and I do think its a bit bigger.

I've never seen a Scenera, but I've used a Tribute for a while. I needed a small rolled up towel to install RF, without it the recline was about 18 degrees.

Hope those links work, sorry I don't have install pics... I prefer the belt paths on the Tribute, easier for me to reach my hand in to install, and the recline foot, and the EPS foam, and for many kids, the 40lb weight limit for RF in the Scenera40 (some still go to 35) is not going to be necessary. Yeah, the Scenera measures a tad bigger in the top slots and shell height, but the Tribute is also fine for most kids, I have a 3.5 yo in mine now with an inch to grow (Actually, his head is under the top, I think he'd fit RF, I should weigh him and see )

I love the tribute. When I recommend the scenera, I also recommend the tribute. The tribute is a tad smaller than the scenera, but for most kids it is fine since you have to buy another seat later anyway. I like the eps foam and how the tribute installs.

After working my first big check yesterday where we gave out a lot of Tributes, I'd recommend it. Most people didn't have any trouble installing it. I have a 40 lb Scenera myself because I have a chunk and wanted maximum longevity.

I prefer the Tribute install over the Scenera. It is much easier to get a good RF install with a Tribute.

Actually, we get MORE grow room in a Tribute over the Scenera due to the more upright FF install. It also doesn't seem as flimsy as the Scenera. My very long torso'd 4yr old still fit in the Tribute (at least he could about 6mo ago when we bought it for dd), but does not fit in a Scenera. And my smaller 4yr old has OODLES of room in the Tribute and can even fit rf'ing.
