Bad mommy

I feel HORRIBLE! I touched Gabe's leg today with the metal part of the buckle. I usually just have a towel thrown over it but I forgot yesterday after I got out of the car.

There's a red welt there now, and I feel HORRIBLE :(

So what does everyone use? Is there a magic product out there to lay on the seat while it's not being used to keep it cooler? My car doesn't have AC so it's not going to cool down quick either.

Yes I saw the one you throw in a cooler and after today I'm considering it. Is there anything else?

You are not a bad mommy. It was an accident!

Hmmm, something crazy has come to mind. They're the round styrofoamy thingys that go on pipes like A/C cooling pipes to insulate against heat & cold. Round, but hollow & a slit down the side to slip over the pipes. A bag of about 6 with 2 inch diameter runs about $1.50 at Walmart. I bet you could cut one down to just slide over & insulate the metal parts while you're in the stores or out of the car. Then when you need to use the seat, just slip it off.
It could work, or something along those lines to insulate those metal parts.

good luck & I hope his welt vanishes quickly, poor thing :(

Hmm I know what you're talking about. That might actually work. Thanks.

Does anyone sell the kind of shedes you put in your front window for a car seat? They're usually silver or something.

if it makes you feel better, I once pinched one of the boy's lip? chin? with the chest clip of his seat making it bleed.
