2004 grand cherokee

Darren-

I looking at a 2004 grand cherokee- It does not have a center tether behind seat...Do you know if can be added- ?

I would guess the answer is no, based on the 2003 models. I have no information on the 2004 models, so this may have changed.

On the other hand, it may be possible to use one of the outboard anchors for a child seat in the center position. You would have to verify to see if this is prohibited in the owner's manual. If it isn't strictly prohibited by the manual or manufacturer, then it may be safer to use an off-center anchor than to use no top tether at all.

You would have to contact Chrysler for more information. If I have a chance, I will see if I can take a look at an owner's manual at the auto show this weekend.
